Scratch First, the team behind Wonderfruit and Fruitfull, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Creative Production Manager to join our team for Wonderfruit 2023. You will be responsible for developing and managing architectural projects and creative builds across the festival, driven by Wonderfruit’s ethos exploring the intersection between mind, nature and culture. These projects will be intrinsically related to diverse programming, including music, F&B, art performance, workshop, farm, etc. Your passion for architectural and spatial designs, strong project management skills, knowledge and experience in onsite building processes, and ability to collaborate with designers, build teams and internal teams will contribute to the successful delivery of Wonderfruit creative landscape and experiences.

The Role
  • Work closely with the Content Director to develop the festival’s build environment, aligning with Wonderfruit’s values in sustainability, innovation and community experience.
  • Develop and manage architectural and creative build projects in relation to Wonderfruit programming and brand partnerships.
  • Identify and collaborate with architects, designers and makers to conceptualize, design, build, deinstall and maintain architectural and build projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards. Including site inspection, site development and logistics.
  • Collaborate with site production, operations, and programming teams to ensure seamless integration of builds within the festival site, considering land environment, safety, logistics, programming and engagement during and outside of festival dates.
  • Work with the Marketing and Partnership teams to provide high-quality visual and written content of architectural and creative build projects.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging promotional materials, including website content, social media posts, and press releases, showcasing the design elements of the festival.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to facilitate media coverage and designer interviews related to the architecture and creative builds.
Candidate requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design Production, Event Management and Production, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years experience in architectural management within the design or festival industry.
  • Deep appreciation for various design disciplines and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with designers, production teams, and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly skilled in coordinating logistics and managing structural build processes.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Thai and English, speaking and writing.
  • Proficiency in using design technology tools relevant to architecture and creative builds.
  • Passion for fostering creativity, innovation, and engaging experiences within a festival environment.
  • Availability to travel for site work, work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours leading up to and during the festival period.
