Scratch First, The team behind Wonderfruit and Fruitfull, is looking for a Junior Product Designer who is curious, driven, and excited to grow in a creative, festival environment.

The Role
Support the design of digital product interfaces, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for web and app experiences tied to Wonderfruit, Fruitfull, and studio projects
Contribute to user research, usability testing, and the synthesis of findings to inform design decisions
Create and maintain design components, assets, and documentation within the team’s design system
Work closely with senior designers, developers, and production team members throughout the design and build process
Iterate quickly on designs in response to feedback, testing outcomes, and evolving project requirements
Ensure all design work meets accessibility standards and reflects the aesthetic standards of Scratch First
Bring curiosity and initiative — proactively flag ideas, problems, and opportunities as you find them
Candidate requirements
1+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a closely related discipline
A portfolio (including personal or student projects) that demonstrates genuine UX thinking and visual sensibility
Proficiency in Figma; experience with prototyping and basic user research methods is a plus
A foundational understanding of UX principles — information architecture, interaction design, usability
Enthusiasm for festivals, cultural experiences, and creative environments — you understand the world we’re building
A collaborative spirit and genuine eagerness to learn from and alongside more senior teammates
A degree in Interaction Design, UX/UI, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred

The successful candidate will be someone who can think on their feet, participate enthusiastically, and know when to collaborate or when to take the lead. It’s a fast-paced, festival environment—in the office, and at our events. We prioritize good teamwork and bringing a positive, fun attitude to whatever we do.
