Job Description
Scratch First, the team behind Wonderfruit and Fruitfull, is looking for a Partnership Design Manager to join our team. This role requires a hyper-organized team player to lead the end-to-end management of partnership-led activations at the event site.

The Partnership Design Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management for partnership activations. This position oversees construction progress and works with the partnership, creative production and senior management teams to review all aspects of the projects. The manager will work collaboratively with all departments and stakeholders to manage the day-to-day operations of the activations during Wonderfruit live dates as well as the deinstallation and storage at the end of the event.

Responsibilities in this role can vary from personally creating the design for a structure, to sourcing the right team to design and build a structure, to sourcing materials for decor, to coordinating build crews on site– and beyond.

The Role
  • Manage budget, timeline management, design, construction, development, storage maintenance and documentation of new and existing materials for all Partnership projects
  • Ensure that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to Oversee all design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, contract negotiations and purchasing
  • Work with all relevant teams to implement, manage, monitor and report on the construction and creative production elements of all partnership activationsSource designers and build teams within personal network, prepare activation brief and oversee design development
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of activations
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with Wonderfruit ethos
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Consider the health and safety of Wonderers as a top priority in all partnership activations, this includes performing risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Conduct and/or oversee site preparation, monitoring and structure repair during live dates
  • Produce activation components
  • Oversee the installation and de-installation of activation components
  • Manage activation components at the end of the event (i.e. storage, recycling, composting, etc.)
  • Execute contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
Candidate requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working in the architecture sector in a professional office environment with relevant
  • hands-on experience in the field
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication (Thai and English)
  • Ability to create schematic design documents (i.e. AutoCAD renderings) for concept presentations
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to understand, adapt and adjust strategies into a solid implementation plan
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the whole picture
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with all relevant stakeholders
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Extraordinary time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, project software and presentation software
  • Detail-orientation in tracking, monitoring and evaluating projects
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed
  • A network of contacts within the design and architecture sector in Thailand
Education and/or Experience
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD or related design program
  • Degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture or related field
  • Event production experience a plus
