Job Highlights

Scratch First is looking for a creative, detail-oriented and organized individual to manage our creative team. The Snr Visual Designer will project manage all visual and written brand deliverables and ensure all brand touchpoints are aligned with the overall strategy.

The Role
  • Lead and manage creative projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the Brand Marketing team
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform creative strategies
  • Oversee budget management and allocate resources effectively
  • Monitor brand performance and adjust creative outputs as needed to achieve desired results
  • Steward the brand internally and externally, ensuring that positioning, tone of voice, and other brand guidelines are maintained and protected
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and design, to ensure all creative output is on-brand and effective
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, bringing new ideas and innovations to the team
  • Manage traffic and the team to take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
  • Lead the design and digital team, building efficient processes, monitoring productivity and overseeing their training and development (including review processes)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including videographers, photographers, and other industry professionals
  • Manage the design and delivery of creative work that is compelling, differentiated in the market and drives a positive customer response
  • Provide strategic input toward design sessions with senior/executive business groups and prepare materials for design briefs and participants in analysis planning
Candidate requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelors in Marketing or a Design-related field
  • Experience in local, regional and international marketing of events and/or festivals
  • Good understanding of festival audiences, art and foodie culture as well as music audiences
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative work and campaigns
  • Require a strong understanding of creative systems, branding and production processes to be able to deliver promotional strategies in line with best practice campaign management
  • Hands on experience with web layout design, print production, image selection and video editing
  • Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of designers and writers
  • Strong understanding of brand development and marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to brief well and give constructive feedback to minimize the revision process
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management competencies
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting
  • Good strategic thinker, with business acumen and ability to partner with senior level executives
  • Highly agile and resilient with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
