At the 2020 installment of their annual Green Events & Innovations Conference, A Greener Festival awarded little ol’ Wonderfruit their “Greener Creative Award”.
A Greener Festival (AGF) is an organization working hard to educate, analyze, and improve sustainability and green outcomes in the events industry around the world.
Since 2007, more than 600 festivals, events, and gatherings have been inspected and audited by AGF. They set the standard, and it’s a really high bar to clear.
In their own words, “this award is for the event that creates the most incredible spaces, installations, shows or environments in the most ethical and environmentally sustainable way.”
Wonderers will know exactly how that aligns with what it is that we do together every year in The Fields. But this recognition of our approach to sustainability in architecture, art installations, infrastructure, and building experiences is confirmation that it’s working.
Wonderfruit is the only event in Asia to pick up awards from A Greener Festival, including the Pied Piper Award for communicating sustainability in 2018.
And none of this ever happens without you, our beloved Wonderers. So our thanks go to you, too—for making The Fields your home and embracing the reused, recycled, upcycled, and spectacular sides of life.
All this means, is we aren’t stopping. We’ll keep working hard to develop and discover ways to reduce the environmental impact of Wonderfruit, without spoiling the fun.
